Preparation
To prepare your skin for RF microneedling, we will gently cleanse your skin and apply a numbing cream. You may need to wait for the numbing cream to take effect. The numbing cream will then be removed from your skin prior to treatment.
Treatment
During the treatment, tiny needles will penetrate your skin and simultaneously, RF energy will be deployed. You might feel slight pinching and heating during this process. Depending on the area being treated, the treatment usually takes around 30 minutes to complete. We recommend a series of at least three treatments to see results, however, some patients may need more treatments.
Post-treatment

The first 24 hours
It is normal for your skin to appear slightly red for a couple of hours post-treatment, similar to what you would experience with a mild sunburn. You can wash your skin with a mild cleanser after treatment and you will be asked to keep your skin moist with post-treatment balm to aid in healing. In addition, make sure to wear sunscreen as your skin heals.
Days one to three
Some patients notice minor swelling and redness for up to three days, which usually resolve on their own. Rarely, there can be small spots of bruising, which can take a little longer to heal. Makeup can be worn 24+ hours post-treatment, however, we also recommend continuing the healing balm and SPF.
After three days
Some patients will notice the small channels made by the device either in the mirror or when touching the skin. This does not always occur but is part of the normal healing process. Continue using the healing balm and talk with your clinician about which other home care products you can resume.

Your skin will look brighter and more radiant as you heal post-treatment. However, it can take between three and six months for the full effects of treatment to unfold. This is because it takes a while for the skin to produce new collagen fibers. With each subsequent treatment, your results will become more prominent.
